AUBURN – After a long process driven by a group of town residents who collected tens of thousands of dollars in donations, work on a $225,000 dog park at Lemansky Park is set to begin Wednesday.
“It hasn’t been easy,” said former longtime resident Nancy J. Sarkisian, the leader of a group that began pushing for a fake grass dog park more than three years ago.
Sarkisian is president of Auburn Fur Friends, a nonprofit she and others started to raise money for the park.
